      1970 Camaro Sub-Frame

Suprise to me....one of the rubber bushings rotted out one of my frame mounts. Looking for a subframe.

Your gonna have to most likely settle for a late second gen sub frame the 1970-73 are impossible to find I've tried and they don't make repo ones

      1970 Camaro Sub-Frame

How bad is the mount, can it be repaired? You can buy the hole repair kit like this:

Plus, this is another excuse for you to buy a new welder!

My 68 Camaro frame rotted out at the firewall mounts. It was an easy fix with some large washers-just welded them in, can't even tell once the welds were finished.

Research has informed me that the 75-81 frames are different. The rust isn't bad...but I suspect the labor would be more than a replacement.

I have a 70 that I am getting ready to disassemble for a full PT suspension. Will have a straight subframe for sale.

The differences are that huge and another plus is the later second gens suspension handle a lot better

From what I understand the frame holes are not in the same spot. It physically will not bolt on.

It'll bolt on but you just have to re drill the holes I believe look over at nastyz28 they talk about how to do it

I'd recommend fixing what you have, unless you have doubts about the straightness or strength of the welds on the rest of it.

I too had a rusted-out mount hole (on my Nova subframe), check out my post for how I fixed it...
