what trans did i just buy? 4l60e? 65?

I bought this trans on craigslist from a local off road buggy/sand car fabrication shop. I was told it was a 2001 4l60e from a 2wd Silverado. i looked up some of the number of the trans and it looks like its from a V8 but the case dosnt say 4l60e on the side. need to know if i can make this trans work behind my 5.3 swap.


bell housing has the 12 o'clock bolt hole and this part number - 24206952, which translates to a 4.8/5.3/6.0 bell on google.


main case is stamped - 24207965


it has a 6 bolt tail shaft, 13 pin connector on the side, a pwm front pump, and a double splined input shaft with an O ring in the center.


also the torque converter that came with it lines up perfectly with the holes on my dished 5.3 flex plate.

I found the trans I'd sticker under a layer of crap. It's a 4l60e from a 4.8l. Trans id tag 2CFD, it has an L torque converter.

I tested fitted it today. 5.3, curved flexplate. Bolts up fine.
