69 Camaro rear disc brake kits

When I bought my Cam the previous owner replaced the entire braking system with a standard MP brakes front disc and rear drum set-up. I am actually pretty happy with the set-up. Although I am trying to find out if there are any rear disc brake conversion kits that don't require me messing with the rear gears/posi-unit?

the standard 10 bolt/12bolt rear disc kit from wilwood doesn't require any messing with the gears, and i'd imagine no one else's brake kit should either.

I'm guessing he's referring to pulling the c clips and axles to get the brackets on and (sometimes) to turn the outer part of the axle flange down to fit inside the rotor (Baer brakes for example).

      You got it

Pulling the C-clips seems like a hassle, do any kits avoid this. I guess its not that big of a deal, I just don't like messing with things that are working perfectly.

Dude, taking out the C-clips is really easy, but unfortunately it is something you have to do. It should only take about 20 minutes at max......unless you break that little bolt in the carrier!!

You could eliminate pulling the axles by demolishing your rear drum backing plates. If you have no use for them and are totally against pulling the axles, this is an option.

Any significant value to the rear backing plates where you might want to save them? My rear is newly rebuilt and this winter I'm going to replace the drums with discs.
