Master Power Brakes 11" Rear Drum Brakes

Has anyone installed these brakes? I have Power Disc/Drum on my 69 Camaro and was considering changing the rear 9.50" drums with their 11" drum. They claim better braking power than the 9.50 and somewhat equivalent to 4 way disc. Wanted to get the opinion of someone who made this upgrade. Thanks, John

We have installed several of those setups. I like them, they work well for a street car. I would install this drum kit long before I would install a disc kit that uses the Seville caliper.

Thanks Donny. I understand the installation is pretty straightforth. Is there anything special I need to know about the install? John

You have to pull the axles to replace the backing plates, other than that, no big deal.

Thanks Donny. From your experience what would you say the breaking increase would be with the 11" over the original 9.50"? Also, since I haven't worked on a "C" Clip axle, I assume the removal is a matter of removing the Pinion Shaft, push the axle shaft inward and remove the "C" Clips. Is there anything specific regarding the "C" Clip removal or will they simply come off when the shafts are pushed in? John

Eleventy percent.....honestly I don't know. Big drums are better than small drums.

You do not have to move the pinion shaft. There is a shaft in between the spider gears, remove that, slide axle inward, remove c clip, slide axle out.
