what kind of car? what do you want out of it and what yours budget, for myself and racing, I never used vikings therefore I have no opion, KYB left a lot to be desired, Bilstein-no like, Koni-no like, QA1 were ok-never got any customer support- I needed a re-valve- they were no help, ridetech is what I use now for the last year, I like them so much I went to work for them

I would call Chris at Viking directly (952-469-4130) and tell him what you need. Nothing against the fine businesses on here but when I bought my Rushforth wheels I quickly learned that it's much better to go to the source when possible.

The vehicle is a 2013 single cab GMC Sierra that i put a 4/7 drop on w/helper bags. I'm not happy with the ride mainly because it has 24" rims and like the look of it. So im redoing the suspension im building a bolt-on 4link in the back and going to build a bracket to house a aftermarket strut in the front. The bracket will bolt to were the top of the factory strut goes and i was going to see about using a T-bar i have from QA1 to use the factory lower control-arms. Price is not a big concern because i understand the lost dieing art of you get what you pay for. The struts count have eyelets on them for ease of cost and installation.

I end up buying from Dale @ Schwartz Performance and should be buying struts from them again soon for the front of my truck. Us lowrider guys with big rims skinny tires have no good shocks/struts to choose from beside those junk drop shocks. That's why i come to forums like this to try to find something useful. Your going to need not only a good shock component, but someone who understands the dynamics of a heavy unsprung weight (heavy wheel and tire), a short sidewall tire, and a short suspension travel. We can help. Call our shop and talk to Rodney Mason. We'll have to build you something that's not currently in the catalog.

Thanks for understanding Mr. Bret i might have to give yal a call soon. I changed my front tires from junk 295/35-24 to Toyo's 275/30-24 and i can't believe how much better it rides with better tires even though there skinnier. I can only imagine what better struts and coils will do. Again thanks guys

Great words to live by.... I'm a true believer in the old ways of you get what you pay for. $60.00-70.00 drop shocks not gonna cut it for me no matter if they have to word performance on them if you know what i mean..... My next goal after the Vi-kings is to try ridetech. I'm not taking anybody's word about what will work id rather use my money and buy buy buy till im happy with the ride, and im hard to please.

ha ha ha ha ha!!!!! I'm with you there!!!! over the last 4 years I have owned suspension systems from Global west(arms, springs and leafs) DSE(arms and springs) Hotchkis (springs and leafs) eBay Chinese arms, ridetech(arms and coilovers) coil springs from Moog, Eibach and Betts springs, shocks from Monroe, KYB, Edelbrock, Koni, QA1, ridetech, sway bars from Ridetech, Helwig, Hotchkis, Addco, to me if it dosnt work I pulled the part off and sold it, keeping junk wont work for me

I've used McGaughry drop shocks, Belltech street performance(yeah right performance haha I laugh at that one) drop shock and even tried airshocks. So now trying REAL performance shocks like QA1, Vi-king, ridetech ect ect. I think my main problem is the leafspring which is going to be taken out this summer and replace it with a triangle 4-link w/coilovers.
