A few of us here have tried to convince Ed/Sal to reproduce it for resale but it's not going to happen. If it makes the let down any easier it would have been crazy expensive, probably around $2K.

The dash is starting to come together. I requested USB power outputs for the cameras and they delivered.

Such a beautiful car! You guys do some awesome work. Wish this stuff was around when I had my 70 Camaro. Looks like Jack did a nice job with the wiring like normal. I will have to tell him good job next time he comes in! Keep up the good work and get that thing done! Hopefully I can see you guys running that thing around the Auto Club Speedway soon.

I just noticed exactly where your shop is. I must have passed by it 1000 times. I got my head ported by your neighbors at Direct Motion. Small world.

Been over there many times hanging out with Saul (RIP). The Mission Critical dyno is gone but there is a new one next door so I still get to hear the sweet sounds and smells of big HP V8's sitting at my desk.

RIP Saul for sure. He was a great guy. I saw him the day before the accident. Been dealing with him for years. Glenda is doing a good job running the shop now and keeping things going. Ya there dyno is gone now. That's cause it is over here now! I am going to have to swing by one of these days to check out some of the cars over there.

You guys offer corner balancing services? Sorry to hijack the thread!

I really like what you guys are doing. Your dash bar incorporated into the dash assembly has just solved some of my future problems. Is the dash sheet metal or aluminum? I might copy you guys, hope you don't mind. I probably missed this, what brand is the steering column? I assume flaming river? I love the brushed finish.

Trade some dyno time for scaling time maybe?

We dropped the car off at Magnaflow yesterday to have them finish the exhaust. The car is finally on its rollers too. Falken 615K's 315/30/18's on all 4 corners

We also started plumbing the oil system thanks to CBM (Custom Built Motors) & Bonaco

Oh & we scaled the car on Saturday............sum bish is lighter than we thought......gonna have to run the GTL class

We've been making progress on the build the last few months. All the fuel & brake lines have been routed. The polycarbonate windows are installed. We're on a deadline now to make sure the car is ready for the Super Chevy Handling Challenge at the end of the month. We leave for Louisville tomorrow so we tried to get the car ready to go to Ron Mangus(upholstery). Last week it spent some time at Westech getting tuned and even worked out a few electrical bugs.

It's a Billet Specialties front drive which I believe uses the factory LS pump. The rack is off a mid 80's Thundrerbird.

Project RedDawn has finally seen its first track day. The original plan was to shake it down at Adams Motorsports Park last Friday and make any final adjustments before hitting the high banks at Auto Club Speedway on Saturday. The plan quickly fell apart for Friday night testing so we took Evan's Little Sweetie to Adams instead. That meant that the maiden voyage for the Camaro was going to be 150+ mph thrash session. The car performed flawlessly with the only issues being related to me and getting Harry's Laptimer to function properly (seems to be a common theme lately). Anyways, Sal played it a little safe in some of the faster areas(turn 1 & 2) but he was confident the car could easily outperform his abilities. It was very balanced and showed no signs of understeer. We're excited to get this car & driver pushed to the limits. FYI: Out of 9 full laps driven the quickest lap of the day was a low 1:57. Watching the video and seeing how much speed was scrubbed off in turn 1 & 2 we are confident the car will go much quicker.

I should have asked if this is the same rack used in the 67-69 kit.
