Ready to order wheels for 1966 Stang

Need some help from the Mustang contingent. I have a 1966 Mustang with a Rod & Custom Mll suspension with 2" drop spindles. Trying to decide on 17x8 or 18 x 8 Boze Lateral G wheels. Will either fit without rubbing? Also I am going with 18x 10 for the rear so if either front will fit what would look better 17 fronts (staggered) or 18's all around? Thanks!

As an owner of 17" wheels, I will offer this advice...

Go 18's! When I first got my 17's you could find my size tires everywhere, now they are hard to come by. People say it's only going to get worse. I guess the 17's are the new 16's of a few years ago.

I would go 18's all around but it's your car. I've never been a big fan of the big raked front with the smaller wheels. Too much like a matchbox car. I'm not too sure about the width up front for the 66. I know my 67 has no problem with an 8" wheel up front but I can't say for sure what you can fit under yours. No matter which way you go, post up some pics when you get them mounted on the car. Would love to see more pics on here from some Mustang guys.

Can I ask you what your turning radius is?

V8 Square, if you are asking me I do not know. I have had the crossmember welded in but since that I have had no need to assemble the rest of the suspension since the car has been undergoing other fabrication mods. I am almost finished taking it down to bare metal then it will be shot with epoxy primer this coming month. I would like to get the wheels ordered since it takes a few weeks.

I have 18/19 on my Camaro and love the staggered look. You received some good advice as 17s are becoming less relevant in tires. 18s and 19s are the future, just look at what the OEs are running from the factory for sizes as the tire companies obviously follow suit.

Spoke with Rod and Custom and I was told that 17 x 7 with 4.25 or 4.5 bs is all the '66 will hold without issues. I really wanted to go wider but it looks like I won't be able to.
