      Ladder bar length

Hey guys!!! I know I know, this has no place on G-MACHINES, but it is a suspension question. I am thinking of building an old gasser style drag car and will probably use ladder bars and coils in the rear, and I would like to use LONG ladder bars (Mostly for the look). Anyway, if there was no limits (like floor and frame and stuff), what ould be the ideal length for the bars??? I was thinking maybe make the pivot points near the trans slip yolk?? What would you think??? I know it won't handle worth a crap and a 4 link would be better for a drag car, but were goin' OL' SCHOOL BABY!!!

Oh come on guys!! All this information, knowledge and theory and nobody has anything to say about ladder bars. I know they wont make the car handle like its on rails but thats not the point. I just want some info on how to make my car the way I want.

As long as you could possibly make them.

      Gus,

Go pick up Door Slammers: The Chassis Book by Dave Morgan. The information you need is in there.
