Do a search for "pwm" and I think that you'll find some good info. Painless F5 seems like a reasonable alternative, although maybe not for the high amperage rating?

I waited 3 months and same thing... when I inquired there was no response but he refunded my money. He makes a good product but his customer service is terrible.
I used a pwm controller I bought off of eBay made by radio research and it has been a great controller, well built and no problems. I think the Painless F5 would be good also.

It seems like Dc controls makes a great product, but why would they treat customers that way? Is'nt the whole idea to sell products and make money.

i bought my first unit in 2009 and recieved it a couple weeks later. now that demand has gone thru the roof for the units its hard for him to keep up. from what i have gathered from other forums is he had to step away from the customer service side to catch up on orders. if some of you may remember he used to send you a complete dc controller moubted and setup on a mark viii fan. the setup just had to be mounted to the radiator of your choice and wired. he doesnt even offer that service anymore. im going to be pulling the trigger on another unit using the fk-85. recent post suggest lead time in now 8-10 weeks. im in no hurry, so when it gets here, it gets here. it looks to me that CarlC on the board here uses the DC Controller to run his cts-v pumps. maybe he can get some inside info for anyone needing it.

Brian and I collaborate on the fuel control side. Yes, he did have to shut down his order site for a while to work on some things that will make his business better. I cannot elaborate more than that but his changes will be reflected in my product as well in the near future.

Two weeks ago - he wrote "building it now" that's it. I hope it gets here eventually... I think you shouldn't sell stuff, you're not able to sell.. Being busy is no excuse! We're talking almost 3 months... So far..
