What top speed, flat out races do ya'll have in America?

The top end 100 mile distance or so races is what really makes me excited about pro-touring cars but don't know much about any of these events or where they're held or when. Would like to look at results of these races and speeds that the guy's are managing to achieve at these events. Appreciate any info regarding this aspect of pro-touring racing.

Check out the Silverstate Classic and the Sandhills Open Road Challenge. They have the longest stretches.

Thanks SP, You Tubed it and watched a few of the cars go. Shucks if you tried that on our South African roads you'd end up getting air born LOL.
Only joking, we do have some nice roads here, love to get something like it started here but I don't think the gov will allow it or close a road for us to do that stuff on. I think those type of runs are absolutely awesome, you're really lucky they'll actually let you do it in your country hey.

Don't see any Pro-Touring cars at Bonneville or at any of the other dry lakes. It wouldn't be hard to modify them to run there though. The big one we have here in Texas is the Continental Tire test track. It's an 8 mile oval and you can go as fast as you want. That's definitely on the bucket list!!
