delphi p/s box with headers
hey all. i have a 69 camaro with a big block and hooker headers. i just got my hands on a delphi box, which is the same as a dse 400(?) series box. i went to install it and it is way into the headers. has anyone else had the same or similar problem? are there better headers with a tighter fit to the engine? any help would be apprieciated. thanks ozz69 [email protected]

I have a 67 with a big block as well, and recently switched to the DSE box. If anything, I have more clearance in the areas that were tight with the original box, but I am using Lemons Headers.
On my last rebuild I had Hooker headers on the car and one tube need to be massaged :rolleyes5 about 1/8 inch to clear the factoy steering box even though I had big block mounts.
Are you running big block engine mounts?
