      Chevelle Sweep Dash Question

So here's my situation, I recently took out the original th350 in favor of a th200r-4, so I lost my stock column shifter. My Chevelle has a sweep gauge with the gauge selector, but I've been thinking about replacing it all with some nice aftermarket gauges like Stewart Warners. The only options I've seen are Covan's dashes, or his new company Thunder dash, or whatever it is, but I really don't want to completely change the dash, just the place where the gauges. So I was thinking about taking out the old sweep and gauge selector and creating a panel to go in place of it and drill my own holes.

While trying to find out the dimensions, and a diagram of the sweep gauge area I ended up finding this

from Metrom, but from what I've read they no longer exist, and would rather not spend $450 on a product which doesn't have a supporting company in case there are any problems. I don't want to take my dash apart to figure it out, because I don't want to get suck not being able to drive her for awhile.

Which, brings me to my question. Does anyone have the measurements for the space where the gauges are or even better a drawing that I can work off of? I was thinking about making it out of carbon fiber, so if I can get some help and people would want it I would gladly make more. Thanks guys
