Looking good. Are you going with the Mustang suspension or use a 2006 Crown Vic?

MichaelUser, I'm using No-Limit front and rear. This pic is of the front cross member and the rear end fresh from the vat. The rear needs all the brackets removed before the new can be welded on. I'm changing ratios also.

Sweet looking. I want to build a F100 with the Crown Vic clip some day.

A few parts arrived this week so I was able to bolt up the flywheel and clutch and install the trans. I made spacers from 4130 for a few places on the frame that need sleeved. Some of the tubing has been cut and is ready for further mods.

I made a little progress today. The first pic is the crossmember for the core support. The next is the mounting area for the rear cab mount. The next is the step down at the front of the chassis. Tomorrow I work on the rear end of the rails.

I got a little bit done today even though I worked most of the day. I'm not done with the main rails but I'm gaining. Most of the crossmembers are cut to length. The next time I work on it, it will be ready to look like a chassis.

A few more boring pics. I welded in the last of the gussets on the main rails this evening.

Those rails look burly! Good move with No Limit stuff--I spent a couple hours watching Rob kick most people's butts on Saturday (GoodGuys Pleasanton) in Hellboy. He seems to know what he's doing, and he's a pretty cool guy. Who would have thought Hellboy has a horn?

It's starting to look like I'm building a hot rod here.

that's an awesome platform to build up. We've been building a lot of radiators for the F1's lately. Makes me want to get one and build it up after Sabre is finished.

I got a little done today. No more brackets on the housing. No more upper bushing mounts. I'm using the engine mounts from the mustang. This pic is the rough cut beginning.

I have the engine and trans roughed in. It will take a lot of work to use the Mustang cradle and be good and acceptable. I checked tire clearance without a rotor. I'm good so far.

The first part of the week had descent weather. I removed all the running board braces from the original frame. Then, it decided to go to single digit temps. I put the braces in the vat today and cleaned them just a little. They will have to be media blasted before they can be used. Because it has turned into winter, my progress will slow to just about a standstill.

I spent the afternoon working on the rear end. Numerous complications. The last one was finding that the left side of the tracloc was done. I'll order clutches on thursday. I didn't expect them to be real good but they weren't useable. I'll have a completely rebuilt rear when done. One less item on the list.

This is one seriously cool build!

Learning as you go? or have you been fabricating for a while?
