      New "Restomods" from GMP

Looks like GMP (the company John McBride designs for) is on a roll. I just received email notification on the following:
      Restomod 70 GTO vert and a 70GTX 440 6Pack. I haven't seen pix of the GTX. Here's the Goat

      Hey guys,

We at GMP our doing our best to bring you the types of custom muscle you want. If you're a GTO guy it's a must have. We wanted to keep this one a little more of the modern classic custom look. 16" wheels and tires, custom T-handle shifter/boot, custom polished tail pipes, engine dress up kit under the hood including a tall open element air cleaner, and a trick 2-tone paint scheme to top it off. This is an early pre-production sample so a couple minor paint details are not quite tweaked to perfection but it's very close. The "RAM AIR" on the hood will not be on the production version.

I wasn't a fan of that particular year/model, but Dayum!, it looks so flippin good. All I gotta say is John, keep 'em coming over at GMP. Don't let the "purists" keep the Restomod/Pro-Touring trend silenced any longer.

You guys should offer and entire array of wheels to swap onto the cars.. could even make deals with places like American Racing, Weld, Billet Specialties, Foose and such to offer their wheels so people can customize thier cars..

Marquez could make tiny little bilet tail lights and stuff.. ok, maybe that is a bit overboard.. lol

<-- I wan't a smokey yunic car.. their site is like a candy store.. lol

      Too bad...

Why get rid of the "Ram Air" on the hood Johnny? It's almost synonymous with Pontiac muscle.

      Hey John,

Any new information or pictures of that 1968 Streetfighter Camaro that you teased about awhile back?

GMP is very excited to be able to be a part of the Pro-Touring movement. We're all working hard and putting our ideas together to try and keep the pro-touring diecast "movement" fueled with cool stuff to collect. We're always looking for ways to make the next better than the last. It's just plain fun to work with other car guys at GMP who get as excited about this stuff as I do and be able to get involved with the collectors and enthusiasts as closely as GMP does. As for sneak peaks I am unable to show anything at this time BUT once we start getting early prototype samples we usually post "sneak peaks" of early production stuff on our Tom's Garage area on the GMP site. It requires a membership fee which is really minimal especially since you get a free Meguires detail kit, a limited edition diecast key, and 15% off on your next diecast purchase - it pays for itself. You also get to post pics, see prototype photos and get a chance to win some free diecast.
Anyways, hopefully that wasn't too much of a shameless plug for that but if you like the diecast stuff that's the place to check out if you wanna see all the new upcoming stuff from GMP before the public gets to.
      Stay tuned though.
      John
