A call for help to Mississippi Members.

A good and long time family friend and her husband, mother, and aunt live in Biloxi Miss. and are M.I.A. My wife is very upset.
Our friend called everyone and left us a voice message telling us that they didn’t leave and will be riding it out in a Bank that her and her mom work at.
And stated it is only windy at the moment. So it must have been early in the storm.

We know from News reports that her neighborhood is gone. They live 1 block from the ocean. And more troubling is the Bank is not much farther away.
I know it’s a bit selfish of me to ask seeing all you are going through right now.

But If I can find the address of the bank can you tell me if it at least is in one piece?

Please Pray for Wendy and Mike Lally .. Thanks

Sorry to hear and they will be in our prayers.. the problem is that the whole region might as well be on Mars since it is impossible to communicate with anyone there..

We have friends in the general area and are concerned as well.. frustrating as hell not being able to get word in or out.

      What bank? Address?

Communications with the coast is very limited. I'm in Jackson, MS and have been able to talk with family in Hattiesburg, Gulfport and Biloxi on certain cell phone circuits. Some of my family were as close as 2 miles from the beach, and all of my family were very lucky to get by as safely as they did.

Unfortunatly, as you've probably seen, none of the pictures show anything promising near the beach because of the storm surge. The Governor was quoted as saying 90% of everything between the beach and railroad tracks (about 1/2 mile) were "gone".

LowBuckX, Good Luck with your friends and their family. I really hope they're okay. My boss just returned from a week long business trip. His mother lives in Gulfport and he hasn't heard from her since Sunday. He's torn up. He doesn't know if he should try to make it there or not.

From what I heard from my dad and brother-in-law tonight, it is no problem for someone to drive all the way to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. They are still telling everyone on the radio and tv that roads are closed, but in all actuality that is not the case. No one is stopping traffic going south at all. This only pertains to the MS coast...I have no idea if anyone is able to access flooded New Orleans.
