These are a couple weeks old now but I finally got the bottom of my Stang sprayed.....let me know what you think.

Looks nice. I am a little concerned how well those sub frame connectors will work. I only see 2 welds in the front an 1 in the rear. Can you take some closer pics of that? Is that welded to the floor also all the way from front to rear? Closer pics would be nice. Just trying to make sure the structure will be strong enough since you still have it on rotisserie and its easy to repair if necessary.

They are not fully welded yet,did not want to do it solid till its back on its wheels with the doors working right.No they do not touch the floor.

If you really want to stiffen it up you might consider seam welding the entire chassis.

Yeah, my first thought was the subframe connecters are virtually useless tying the rear pan into the front rails. It seems they would work much better tied into the rear rails.

They are tied to the rear rails?!?!? Although I will admit I should have made the plates on the rear wider. I would not seam weld this for 100 cars just like it........................................its as tight as its gonna get.

I've heard that welding anything after applying bedliner is a reaaaaal beooootch!
I was going to bedline my car, but decided against it in case body repairs were ever needed after a collision. Keep us updated on how it goes. I still kinda wish I had coated mine.

Nope not Crystal.......I think the front is welded as good as it needs,those welds are about 3" long each and the floor support is only spot wlded sheet metal so it will only be so strong. The rear will be finish welded after the suspension is on and the doors work. There is not much liner on this area only some light over spray,its black from the DP90.Thanks for all the replies guys!!!!

what brand bedliner did you use, did you use the siphon type gun to shoot it. going to do mine and have been looking at a few different companies, also tinted versions of instead of black. thanks

I have several sources that deal in auto body stuff they have or can get anything I wanted. Most ranged from $120 to $150 a gallon (not a kit just the liner) but I went with Duplicolor @ $49 a gallon from Autozone. Worked great and I used a undercoat gun I borrowed from a friend. This stuff flowed out almost slick but I wanted a texture so I just held the gun a little farther back and it worked great.
