      Body mount question g-body

I have an 87 grand national that is basically finished and installed ride-tech coil overs. I can't get it as low as I want because of the large overhang in the front and how low the cross member sits and had to raise it about 1" to make it drive able

My question is this. In my 72 camaro I removed my body mounts for the front end and just mounted the subframe directly to the body. Can I do that as well on a g-body? I very heavily reinforced the frame for flex and the body as well. Anyone see any issues with this? I also have a set of aluminum bushings I didn't use, as an alternative I was thinking of throwing them on a lathe and cutting them down to 1/4" or 3/16" just to have something for the body to rest on.

      Ideas, suggestions?

The limiting place is in the rear. There are two rubber bushings that take up space between body and frame. I put aluminum Camaro bushings in mine and the rubber bumpers pushed in a good 1/4 inch. So I would stick my fingers up there and feel what space is there. My guess is not much based on my experience with 1 inch aluminum bushings. Rod
