Leaving Holley

Hey guys. I wanted to formally announce that I will be leaving Holley at the end of this week. This is bittersweet as I enjoy being a part of the Holley family, but my new opportunity will allow me to focus on my business, and other activities. I want to get back into racing next year, and I have a 5 year old that wants to start riding moto x. I will continue to be pro Holley EFI, and do whatever I can to promote/support the brand. I will not be using this screen name, however if you should need to ask a question, just direct it to my other account, dj94gt. Thanks - Derek Johnson



PS it's unknown at this time if anyone working for Holley will take over my presence on the forums. If not, do not hesitate to ask me questions on the other account. I'll do what I can to assist.

Sad to see you go and thanks for all the help you've given those of us who are trying to learn and understand EFI on our old cars. You've emailed me on my Stealth Ram and I've read your posts on here and I've really appreciated the input on how to get my system to work. Speaking from experience I can tell you nothing is more important than family and your health so follow your passions and enjoy the kids while they are young because time goes by way to quickly.

Thanks for the kind words. I'll still be around, and working with the EFI. I'm trying to pick up a deal right now to swap a Holley EFI onto a 2012 Copo camaro. It should be a fun project. My kids want to race, and I have full support from my girl. Should ANYONE need anything, feel free to contact me.

You've got to do what is good for the family Derek, even if it means a major change. I did the same thing when I left AM General in March and went back into the GM Tech Center in Warren... I was direct at AM General and now I am a jobby scum again... Money and time wise it was a move I HAD to make. Drive-wise, not so much. The move has payed off though as I have been transferred to the Milford Proving Grounds as of yesterday and absolutely LOVE the drive! 30 miles one way as compared to 70 one way to Warren! No E-ways and NO stress! Hopefully your move will pay off also. Work hard and you will do fine.

Your welcome. I'm actually just working closer to home. I live in Scottsville, and will be going to work in the tool room @ Sumitomo Electrical Wiring Systems. No moving, better pay, and have more time in the shop, and spending time with my kids.
