If you do not like the filter I can see how you can make a 45 into the inner fender area and place it another 90 degree's downward like the Anderson Ford Motorsport Procharger piece. I think you have plenty of room to so that and draw only atmospheric cool air. I think you can move it to where the shock towers were.

That might be the best option in the end. Cooler air might be necessary for the supercharger.
