Anyone running Fuel Injection on their pontiac 400/455 motors? If so what setup and how do you like it? Post pics as well. I am building a 461 stroker out of a 400 block currently with Kaufman Aluminium Heads. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hope to be trying out Professional Products EFI kit on a Pontiac 455 before the end of the summer. I'll let you know when it's done what kind of results I have gotten.

Have you looked at Butler Performance's kit? - http://www.jbp-pontiac.com/products/carbs_fuel_systems/fuelInjection.html

EFI on a 455, MS3X Sequential COP ignition, and fuel injection. Serpentine belt.

That's awesome! I've wanted to do a MS system ever since I found out about them. Is it running or still being built? I would go that route if I could talk my father into it, but I don't think he wants that much messing around. More of a bolt-in kind of guy.

I is still being built. The MS is configured and calibrated to the engine, running on the bench with a Jim Stim simulator.

I've been running EFI on my Pontiac since 2006: http://1967firebird.atwebpages.com/efi1.php

Hammered,
Nice work on your 67 Firebird and the EFI setup. What kind of mpg do you see with your EFI system and how many miles do you drive it each year? I'm building a 455 with SD performance 325 cfm e-heads, Old faithful HR, and am looking induction options.
Thanks,
Geno

Thanks for the discussion. This is a good thread for me, looking at EFI for my rebuild of my Pontiac 400. Going with the Stroker combo as well.

Sorry for the slow reply - I've gotten 17 on the highway not trying too hard (remember that this engine dynoed at over 560HP). I don't drive it as much as I'd like, but I did drive it from Dayton to Detroit for the Woodward Dream Cruise last month. The cruise itself is a real test of a car because it's stop and go for HOURS. The only thing that didn't do so well was my McLeod RST clutch. I think it's a less streetable clutch than McLeod would have us believe. Otherwise no issues at all.

I've read a few negative comments about the Butler FAST 2.0 system over at the link on their page. Maybe they didn't work the bugs out before releasing it.

Fast EZ EFI 1.0 multiport and works well. No problems. Working on selling the setup with the 461 long block to fund my LS3 project.
