I'm just wondering if theirs anyway to use the wilwood d-52 and d154 calipers to max..right now im rolling with the 11inch rotors.
calipers accept up to a 12.19 rotor but I have no idea what would work on my 72 skylark and will they take stock bearing/races?
Thanks in advance

well, i'll just answer my own question...kore 3 billet hub with slip on rotor

Not so fast...whats' your goal switching to a larger diameter rotor? While you will increase the overall brake torque due to the longer moment arm, your 11" OE rotor is 1" thick whereas the Wilwood 12.19" rotors are only .81" thick for the most part, so you may actually be decreasing your thermal capacity. What's the bigger picture here?

yeah, just realized the 12x1 said REAR :-(
I can still upgrade to 11.75 x 1.25 rotors
may try the ls1 rotors from advance to see if that, d52 dual piston calipers and a 15in rim clears once i get the kore billet hubs which reduces track width a tad
btw,
Just trying tp max out my braking while retaining my 15in rims

Using a 12 " rotor B body spindle and 1LE rotor will get pretty close to and actual 12" rotor and uses a D52 caliper and fits most 15s. Find some station wagon or police car spindles. Taller spindle will need more shims or a new upper control arm for an A body.

yeah..I dont want to use a b-body spindles due to drop with no geometry gain, not worth the effort for little rotor gain
..if im ever going to switch spindles it'll be for a l&H kustoms or afx piece which are the only two spindles worth the swap

US Brake makes a 12.19 x1.25 rotor you could use with the wider wilwood D52 Caliper, the correct rotor hat is the missing link

What's the budget? You could go with something like the vintage race guys run, C3-based kits with an 11.75" x 1.25" rotor and 4-piston caliper. The OE calipers can be a bit tempermental and heavy, but Wilwood makes an aluminum D8-4 and D8-6 replacement option at a fraction of the weight and conventional square o-ring piston seal designs which really don't cost much more than the OE units and you can even upgrade to Thermlock pistons if you want.
