news: so we have the tires mounted and we are waiting on lug nuts. we did encounter a problem the rear brake lines are wrong so we will be replacing that along we are debating if we should/have modify the e-brake so the shop will be calling Vintage Venom.
Slowly but surely the car is coming along nicely. :D

I am assuming that the spacers are to allow for the use of the newer Mustang wheels?
Andrew
rwcstang

yes, this spacer will require me to run new mustang wheels or any aftermarket wheel as long as i keep it under the specs of the 99-04 mustang.
from the site:
"The spacer is best located between the hub and the rotor. This maintains the direct interface between the two working surfaces (the wheel and the rotor) and simply serves as a hub modification. Additionally, the ARP stud knurls grab the spacer once installed making it essentially integrated with the hub. No more fumbling with wheel spacers every time you pull a wheel off..! Also, this design allows the spacer to be fully piloted by the original hub allowing the spacer to properly pilot the rotor and wheel concentric to the hub. Therefore, neither the rotor nor the wheel is relying on the wheel studs to determine their locations."

You have a well thought out street car underway. Wheels, brakes, suspension, and drivetrain are all nicely updated and much more sorted out than my first attempt, that's for sure. I would suggest a mounted fire extinguisher, a seat with good side supports, and a panhard or watts link as your next few mods. Then just drive the heck out of it!
on edit- I also meant to say those engine cranes make me nervous. Years ago, I had a piston fail on me while my fathers 350 SBC was out. I was rolling it out from the car and without notice or any sound really it just let the engine smash into the driveway. In hindsight, the piston may have sideloaded the seal momentarily as I tugged the crane away from the car, but holy crow. Totally destroyed the stock pan and oil pickup, and my faith in hydraulic jacks and lifts. Moments before I had my hands under that thing... Live and learn.

hey Gsxken,
thanks for the tips, I was thinking of going with Maier racing's panhard and subframe connectors since I live 20mins away from from them. as for the seats, I'm really leaning toward scats rally car seats but I'm not sure if they are worth the money though... I wanted to go with TMI Sport seats but I've read alot of ppl complaining about their kits.
I never had a problem with the engine cranes, but man that is a nightmare. makes me think twice! lol

brake/fuel lines
front belt drive accessories
welding up the exhaust tips
breakin/tune motor
adjust the coil over height

You should get a 4wd jack on either end of that sucker, get it tilted at a crazy angle and bed line that underside!
Looks sweet man, those are some big pipes.

I've always loved the fr500's, they remind me of modern "Eleanor" wheels. if only there was a company that makes a Custom Spinner.

Love what your are doing with the coupe, but with that strong engine and wide rubber, I'd weld in some subframe connectors before you get much further along on the bottom. There are number of kits that include cross bracing under the tunnel, and some that would support attachment of a rollbar or cage.
Keep up the good work!

your pics look like you're running a holley 670 avenger (4150). I see nothing in the holley specs that shows this is anything beyond a stock 4150. Before you go scratching your head, what are the symptoms you're experiencing with the flooding? Is in on acceleration, deceleration, WOT, during turns, etc? There's lots of options from whistles, to jet extensions, to off-road (spring-loaded) needles and seats, different floats, etc. most of these are fairly inexpensive. I'm sure someone on this forum can throw some advise at ya.

actually its a 750 DP http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-0-76750bk
the issue im having its flooding the motor, when the epump goes on (engine off) I can see the jets leaking which floods the motor. I tried re-adjusting the floatbowl but issue persists.

Take the bowls off and clean the needles and seats out with some brake cleaner and a little compressed air.

while you're at it, install holley part 6-513, spring loaded needle/seat (off-road) in both bowls.

thanks for the recommendation,
@72BBSwinger
decided to take the carb off and open both bowls, found debris which was making the needle stuck. So I cleaned it re-assembled and now shes good to go! thanks for the tip.

Check the fuel pressure. It shoudlnt exceed 7psi on a carbureted engine. May need to make sure your regulator is working properly by installing a fuel rail to the carb front/rear with a gauge.
Fuel pressure too high will over-power the needles and just start dumping fuel into the engine.
Ive seen it happen a hundred times!

i have been checking fuel pressure so its good. I do have a fuel rail with gauge but I need to replace the summit liquid gauge though, the thing crapped out. any recommendations?
