Please Help with Under Dash Mounting Ideas for ECM

Please post photos or ideas of where to mount the ECM under the dash in a 69 Camaro. I am running a Gen V Vintage Air unit with a DSE dash insert and a AAW update hit. Any ideas and help will be appreciated.

Jason, are you using the little glove box vintage air provided? On my 68 I plan to mount it on the inside of the glove box door as the pocket they provide is not large enough to actually keep anything in.

I couldnt find anywhere it would fit under the dash with VA in my 69. The passenger kick panel cavity would work, but I didnt want it buried in there in case I needed to access it on road trip, etc. I have an LS1 ecm, i think some of the newer ecms are a little smaller. I dont think it would fit in the glove box on a 69. Curious to see where you put it. Scott

I put mine on the tunnel right up next to the firewall (where you have your cable coming through). This works for me because I built a custom center console that covers it up. If you don't like the idea of killing the glove box, have you considered killing the center ashtray instead? Not sure how big your ECU is, but this was one option I considered for my FAST. Let us know what you end up doing.

I put mine on the tunnel right up next to the firewall (where you have your cable coming through). This works for me because I built a custom center console that covers it up. If you don't like the idea of killing the glove box, have you considered killing the center ashtray instead? Not sure how big your ECU is, but this was one option I considered for my FAST. We should all do what we want, so I'm not knocking your wish. But with all the space in the fender area why would you want to sacrifice more interior room?
Since you are running the vintage air you won't need the original heat blower motor our the vents for it. I found that dead space perfect for front speakers but it could hold your ECM as well.

I bought a GM ECU bracket and mounted it above the glove box while the dash pad was off in my 69.

The ecu just snaps into the bracket. I screwed one side of the bracket to the metal part of the dash which the pad covers. For the otherside, I made an L bracket and fastened it to the fire wall. I wish I had taken pictures, but I didn't. It's not too bad of a job to remove the ecu if needed.
