Wondering if anyone has had tried using the Fesler custom door panels made for the 68-72 Chevelle hard tops on a 69 GTO.

I spoke with someone at Fesler a while back and they said they had never tried it. I haven't ever worked with the panels or a Chevelle, but based on pictures the doors for the 69 Chevelle and the 69 GTO look identical. Crank and door release seem to be in the same spot. Looking for any information someone might have on this, as well as any challenges they ran into. Pictures would be great.
Thanks.

More than likely the rear panel is not the same. The upper rail in the rear is possibly different. I needed the upper rails for the rear panels and had a donor Cutlass, they are not the same . The inner panel follows the shape of the quarter panel which is different on all the A bodies.

I think if you were to check out year one....they sell the whole side inner structure of a Chevelle from the cowl to the inner rockers...a pillars...right back to the rear Window area...I would think if the part fits a Chevelle then it would fit a gto...check it out. I believe the part fit 68-72 models

I have fesler door panels installed in a 69 chevelle hardtop.I bought them on black Friday sale 60% off.the 69 comes with an extra piece for the rear panels. We did a lot of fitting then moulded the 2 pieces together and worked out great.a lot of work.I also installed rideteh stainless cage. Door panels and cage were a nightmare together.got them all fit finally. Not good at posting pics but if you can get pics on your phone or I can send some to your email. Greg

I looked up the Year One inner stucture, but I notice that the part numbers are different for the Chevelle and the GTO. That makes me think there are differences. Does any one have a lot of experience working on both cars, either resorations or interior work, that they would have a more definitive answer if the two are different?
I appreciate all the replys the so far.
