Hi Guys,
I have a question for you.
My friend put Aerospace Components brakes on his car. They are telling him that he needs to have a 7:1 pedal ratio on his 69 Camaro. I searched the forums and found that 1st gen Camaro’s have a 6.2:1 pedal ratio. Can he increase his pedal ratio, If so how?
Sorry that im not we versed in this…
it should just require that he drill a hole lower or higher on the pedal, i am assuming lower, but I am sure someone who knows will post how

I know that there are two holes in the pedal shaft now.
Any help is appreciated

how tall is your friend if he,s 6ft + would not worry as he,s power would over come the diff but looking at specs or worryed cut the foot pad off and get it lengthed by 1/2 " but beef up were the extra piece is being welded in.

Hi guys,
We moved the push rod to the next hole and bled, bled, bled and re-bled the system.
Apparently it was a combination of all that and the fact that he didn’t bench bleed the master cylinder.
Thanks for your help guys!

there are 2 ways to increase pedal ratio, one is to lengthen the pedal, the other is to move the pushrod attachment point closer to the pivot point of the pedal. it is important that the pushrod go straight into the master, or the piston will be side loaded and the master cylinder will fail prematurely.
