I have a 69 camaro that was being built as a drag car. It has a sheet metal dash and straight column. I knew the column was not the correct year because it didn't have a key. The key is on the dash. But when I traded the straight column for a tilt I noticed the column plugs. The plug under my dash is curved and matched the straight column. But I thought the 69 had a straight plug. So am I right or wrong.

Sorry the pic is not great. It's the plug from my harness

you sure you have a 69 Camaro?
they are way different than a 68..
and yes, they have the later style column with the ignition switch mounted on it and the flat plug for the wires for the lights and what not..

I figured that plug was wrong. It didn't look like they spliced the wiring so i hope they only changed that plug and didn't change it all. now I gotta get the right plug

I would guess you need something like this http://www.streetrodhq.com/detail/14478/Tilt_Steering_Wheel_Wiring_Accy_Horseshoe_Plug.htm l
