I know car alarms / remote starts can be a sensitive subject. I would like to talk to anyone that has experience in the Viper systems. I'm trying to install one in a 47 Ford street rod project we have.

Thanks,
Kevin

what model do you have? did it give link to a websight. I am DEI certified installer. Honestly most are not hard it just depends on which wiring set up you designed your harness after. Most wiring kits are patterned after some type of car, like most of the street rod stuff is made to work with GM columns.
honestly if you can sell Viper set up and use cash go look for a Python 991 on ebay, I have found them for $250 or less but the quality over Viper is about 10 to 1, Viper used to be the cheaper line of alarm/remote starts. I won a 991 and installed it on my 91 Cavalier, loved it till my remote died. Ill help what I can if you still want to use it. Most of those require hooking to specific ign power wire on from the switch, hooking up to park brake switches, tapping into coil tach wire and or injector wire, and some door/hood/trunk switches and parking light wire. and horn if it doesnt run a separate alarm.

Thanks Lee.
It's a Viper 5704. It was one of those deals were the owner purchased and said can you install while you are doing the wiring.
The part I'm struggling with is understanding which terminals are power inputs and which are outputs. Example is in the Remote Start 10-pin heavy gague connector. There is an ignition 1 input/output, fused (30A) iginition 2 / Flex Relay input 87.
Let me know the easiest way to procede. Scan the quick reference and put down what I think they do to?
Thanks,

Did you figure it out yet? I am also a DEI installer if you need some help. There are a few things I would definitely recommend doing once you get to the programming of the remote start if you havent already done so

Chris,
I haven't figured the system out. Not sure which wire is used to power up the EFI system when the remote start it used. Plus, I have been motivated to work on my own car the last couple of weeks.
I'll send you a pm.
Thanks,Kevin
