Hello guys

I have got the EfI harness from Painless Wiring and need to understand how to wire the fuel pump single wire to the painless wiring fuel relay coonector.

The fuel relay connector has got 4 wires: Dark green/white, Black, Gray, Orange. The dark green is going to PCm Pin No 9 in PCM Red connector. The Orange goes to the EFI harness fuse block and black is ground.

I also noticed that there is a fuel relay kit mounted in the trunk, and the kit is wired up to the fuel pump.

The question is how can I utilize this fuel relay connector (style 2) to connect the single Gray wire from the fuel pump?

Does this mean there are two fuel pumps that were installed by the previous owner?
I appreciate your input guys

I can't follow your question, so let me see if I can help tease out the answer. What ECM does the Painless kit use? GM?

If so, then the fuel pump wire from the ECU is 12V and you use that to energize the relay. It would go like this:

ECM to 86
85 to ground
87 to fused battery or switched ignition
30 to the fuel pump

Thanks John for the input, yes it is painless harness with GM ECM.

I would also like to hear from the members here who have LS1 harness from Painless Wiring. How did you guys connect the fuel pump wire to the painless wiring fuel relay connector? The reason why I am asking is I have looked up the LS1 harness kit from PSI, and there was no such fuel relay connector
