Hey guys...about to start doing some upgrades to my camaro for the upcoming 2013 pro-touring season...one of my items on the "to do" list.......wanting to upgrade my stock oiling system to make sure when I'm doing some road course and autox that my engine with get the proper oiling it requires....the stock setup probably would work fine but since got to pull my oil pan off to replace rear main seal...though be good time to do so......any advice is appreciated...

What do you have for specs currently? I just converted to dry sump, but my road race Champ wet sump pan worked okay.

Will you doing be any real open road course days (talking 3 or 5 twenty minute sessions)? That could tax your system more is why I ask.

A good CV, Champ, or Canton road race pan (trap doors on both sides) and a HV oil pump should work fine. Accusump would give added protection, of course many think that is just a band-aid, but it works for many.

i was in the same boat as you with needing a better pan, i ended up getting the moroso road race pan for my s10, i will have to trim a bit out of my cross member but im sure for a camaro they will have the correct fit pans, i picked this pan because it has the extra hook ups for any extras i may need down the road like an accusump and has the baffled doors, i will wait to see what happens when i do some autocross with it this upcoming summer if i will need the accusump set up

i'm mainly looking at few SCCA,Goodguys Autox, and american street car series events next year.....not sure if i be doing any big open road course days yet but i would like to get it ready now for that if i decide to do it next year.....

yea the moroso pans look nice....looking for pan that offers clearance for headers, oil filter etc....that will fit the stock chassis without modifying....

Hey Matt,
We've used both Milodon and Canton road race pans and have had great luck. When we did the wagon upgrades last winter the wagon got a Canton with the ZZ4 and is doing great on road courses. I'm also a big fan of accusumps, but small blocks seem to hold up better than LS engines on road courses. Just my $.02
