I'll make this quick and easy. I poested this on another section so ill give it a shot here. My question is, is there a difference between subframes from a v6 firebird and a trans am? Thanks for any input.

They are the same for all second gen firebirds and camaros, except the front end changed mid 75, meaning tie rods, idler arm and so on.

Ok cool. Thanks for the help. Im stuck between buying a v6 firebird for pretty cheap. But today i found a 1980 t/ a, t tops, 77 front end, shaker scoop/hood, rebuilt 327 on it for an extra grand. I have a subframe with some goodies on it already that i woild be throwing on either one. Looking forward to that. :D

Subframes should be the same in those cars. Pre 75 frames are different. You may run into linkage differences. ps box lines are o-rings iirc 79 and up at least in camaros. Camaros may have differences in linkages too. The was a wheel bearing change at some point too.
