Just wired up the Holley HP EFI system. When I connect the battery posts to the terminals, I can hear the fuel injectors firing. This is with the ignition key off. What is causing this?

Car: 1969 Camaro
Motor: 2009 LY6 6.0 58X reluctor wheel
Cam: Ultradyne 223/230 VVT delete with LS3 Cam cover and 4x 3 bolt cam
Intake: Stock LS3 with stock injectors pulled off a 2011 Camaro w/LS3 MAP
Throttle Body: Edelbrock 90mm DBC
FEAD: C5

I am using the Holley LS2 HP EFI part number 550-603

I hooked up the Holley harness as follows:

Red wire: to battery
Red/white 18ga wire: 12v ign switched at fuse block
Black 18 ga wire: chassis ground
Green wire: fuel pump relay
Computer power harness: POS and Neg wired to battery
Blue/white wire: not hooked up yet

I am not sure why the injectors are firing? Am I missing something obvious? Any with experience with the Holley EFI systems that could help would be greatly appreciated. As far as I can tell everything is wired per the diagram provided in the CD.https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2007/09/gr_confused-1.gif

X-2 on holley tech help. I,d guess either a problem with the sensor triggering the injectors (shorted ) or a computer problem.

Add on systems aren't very complicated to wire , as you know.Probably not something you did.

Had a connector grounding out on the positive wire to the battery. I had everything hooked up temporarily just to get the engine started. I pulled everything apart and re did it with heat shrink and it's now working perfectly.

If anyone needs help with Holley EFI, I would recommend the forum. There is a user named Danny Cabral who is very helpful (not sure if he works for Holley?). Holley could definitely benefit from hiring a few more people to answer the EFI tech line phone. It is very frustrating trying to get ahold of them. With that being said, The Holley HP EFI kit is awesome! I would definitely recommend it to anyone over using a factory harness and ECU.
