Dynomat, Fatmat, Hushmat, Lizardskin, thermotec, Stinger extreme?

Which one is the best bang for your buck for getting rid of unwanted road noise and exhaust drone??? After reading numerous articles I am more confused than ever. Not concerned about audio at this point just want to quiet down the exhaust and vibrations in the interior of the car. Any suggestions on which one to get and from who? Also, dont want to use peel and seal since I hear it is asphault based and can really stink in the car....

They are all good! If you do not believe it ask the person selling the product.

There are pro's & con's with each of these products you have referenced above. If you want to reduce exhaust drone change your mufflers. If you want to reduce road noise & sound harmonics in a car Dynamat is great. If you want to reduce heat there are other products I would use. The last thing I would base my purchase decision on is cost.

There is not one great catch all situations product. The first thing I would do is to resolve the problem that is causing your irritation rather than try to cover it up with some band aid product.

This has been discussed in depth on this site if you do a little searching and there are some really good sponsors of this site that have a great product...that being said make sure the product is a high solids butyl rubber (compare thickness of the butyl rubber as this is your vibration dampener /absorber) and also compare foil thickness as that helps with heat. A higher quality product is going to accomplish the same with 50% coverage as a cheaper product with 100% coverage (this stuff is heavy and can add up). Also not all of it can be hung aka used under your headliner

I took fatmat out of my truck and it was a pain in the...it didn't help much, it smelled a little and it has a low melting point (have heard of it melting in hotter climates) and it lifted in places and allowed rust underneath despite the fact that I prepped the area well beforehand. When I re-do my truck after intense research I will get either second skin (pretty sure they are a sponsor on here) or REAL dynomat (watchout for eBay knockoffs)

What he said is accurate. The others with a mystery combination are sometimes repackaged roofing product. These will usually smell pretty bad. I like the second skin product, but to get an affective solution, you should follow their advice, and not just try to get away using the CLD layer. The mass loaded vinyl really helps quiet things down by providing an isolation layer as well. Not following a complete solution is sometimes the reason results are less than acceptable. Fact is big wheels and lower profile tires are just noisier than the average passenger car, so you'll have to spend some time on this.

I vote for second skin. Use it all the time, just did a 12 grand sport for a guy he flat loves it. He was thinking of selling it because of the heat and noise. know he says he's getting buried in it.

I think I'm gonna go second skin as well.....but is there anything u can combine with it that can improve it even more? For example what if you dynomat first then second skin on top? Heat is my major problem

I live in Tampa Fl, and I have used HushMat never had a problem with it melting or smelling i primed and painted all surfaces then applied the hushmat worked fine and it shut out most of the exhaust noise and if you go to their website it is made the same way dynomat is and just about the same specs. Men Lie, Women Lie, Numbers don't do the research and crunch the numbers and they give a warranty just keep the receipt

Dynamat and second skin damplifier pro are competing products, they fix the same thing vibration. What I do is damplifier pro first then I add luxury liner pro for the noise and I use heat wave pro to keep the heat out.If you have any question let me know.

I used Fatmat every where except the doors. worked out great. I used Lizard Skin inside the doors. Went down smooth and it seems to work great.
