i just got a 65 chevelle i wanted to try to keep it looking as stock as possible, im missing the stv missing and i found a few at 500.00+ so i wanted to try to use a poa valve instead. has anybody tried it or any other idea... i dont want aftermarket system, i will be staying with r-12 i have a few cases i kept over the years. thanks

Actually if you can get a line to hook up do away with poa/stv and use a repair end and a AAOT for R134A or R12. Honestly I prefer to convert to 134a as you can get it anywhere, sell R12 to someone and finance major home repairs, car builds,,,,.
Also you get a CCOT set up wired up it will blow 38 degrees and freeze you out, POA/STV systems really suck, even when using a thermal expansion valve, it gets kind of tricky.

it seams with 134a and black inter doesnt cool well in texas.... i converted my camaro to hot shot and it freezes me out, i have a 35 degrees out the vents when its 105 degree out side and why... its free for me to get hot shot and its imca approved and i found out that i can used poa valve in place of the stv... know i can start to finish my project.... thanks
