I finally had some free time to go get my ROH wheels and Kumhos mounted, and decided to tough out the heat (100* with humidity factored in) and get them on yesterday. The near heat-stroke experience was well worth it. Anyways, I figured I'd post up a few pics since a few people have asked me for some.
The wheels are ROH RT in the "Black Ice" finish. 18x9 front, and 18x10 rear. Tires are Kumho Ecsta MX 275/35/YR18 Front, 295/35YR18 rear.
You can also see my three other minor appearance mods in the pics (red "camaro" fill-ins, painted headlight mod, and shortened antenna), up next is lowering, red Z06 calipers, smoked clear corners, and some other minor stuff. Drivetrain mods are on the way.

Thanks! and I agree, ROH wheels are awesome for the price / quality. My decision was between the Black (w/ polished lip) drift-r and the RT. In the end, the black ice finish was the deciding factor and it wasn't available on the drift-r. ROH's 3 piece wheels are really nice, too, but pricey compared to the 1 piece.

this is the first time i've seen them on a maro (not counting horton's concept car). i have to say they really set off the rest of the car well. i don't like the looks of the drift-r as well...
i wasn't aware they had a 3-peice line! got a link?

I got told they didnt make the Black Ice anymore, so I decided to look elsewhere for rims. Kinda makes me mad, actually liked those.
Here they are on a second gen for anyone that would like to see.

formula,
Yup, they make some 3 piece wheels. I know the Modena, Strada, and a few others are 3 piece. They were in the $700 range for 18x10 if I remember correctly. I'm not 100% on the link, but I think it's www.rohwheels.com They're listed under "performance wheels" or something. Whatever group the Modena is in is the 3 piece. Thanks for the compliments on the wheels!
Vince,
Thanks! I didn't know Gina wanted the rims, you shoulda told me!
Lesrace,
Thanks for the compliments! I'm pretty sure the black ice finish is still in production, who told you they didn't make them any more? There is a bunch of wheels that come in this finish, maybe they discontinued one of them and the person got confused? They look really cool at night, under street lights or parking lot lights.

i almost bought some ROH wheels for my 99 Maxima but decided to spend the $$ on the bird. They look great on the 4th gen Ralph.
I need a split bumper 2nd gen soooooooooo bad! There's just something about em. I'm not a fan of big inch cowl hoods but the head on shot of that second gen is just sinister!

Trilogy,
Thanks!
Kevin,
Thanks! I want an early 2nd gen bird, or a split bumper 70-73 one day myself!
Adam,
Thanks! Fantom is on the backburner right now, no time or space to work on it, sadly. Progress on Fantom should resume in the fall.

Rons Race Shop in AZ told me about the Black Ice being discontinued. But that was a while ago. That is one of thier shop cars i think in the link I posted above.

Lesrace82,
I actually bought these from Ron. Perhaps they were discontinued, and then re-instated?
Dave,
Thanks!!
Mike,
Thanks!!
looks awsome but i have to ask do you get nose bleeds at that altitude? :pat: really though ralph it looks great just need to put an eibach sportline kit on it and you'll be set with the fattest 4th gen on the land :yeah:
as far as the wheels they put them back into production. i guess it's off and on with some designs. like the zs they 86'd for a while but now it's back. i cant belive you guys dont like the drift r's though i love that wheel actually i was going to get a set but they didnt have a f-body offset at the time so i was forced to fork out the dough for my iforged :enguard:

thanks! And yes, I get nose-bleeds all the time, lol. She needs to come down an inch. I like the Drift-Rs, just not the current finishes. The silver is too light for my taste, I would have loved them in the black ice finish. If I went with the drift-rs I would have gone with them in black with a polished lip. That was my second choice wheel to the RTs.

How much clearance do you have between the spokes and the caliper? Think these in 17's would clear a C5 brake setup?

There is about .5-.75" of clearance between the spoke itself and the caliper. Basically there is enough room for me to snugly tuck my fingers inbetween the spoke / caliper. They should clear the C5 brakes in 17 inch form, as the 'vette rotors are 12.8 or 12.9". I cannot say this for certain, though. Keep in mind, my wheels are 18x9 up front, and the F-body and C5 calipers are almost identical in dimesions, but my rotors are 12", not 13.

Not bad! I want a set of 19" Modenas for my fourth gen really bad, but at $1100 a wheel it's going to have to wait a while.

Thanks, and ouch $1100 per sure is pricey. The Modena and also Strada were my first choice in wheels, but the 18x10s were around $7XX. A bit too much for this car.
bah....my ifroged evos are worth every penny all 300000 of them :seizure:

Sure looks nice!! Can't say the same about those OE brakes! Eventually, I'll get you to crack and will get some PBC brakes on this Camaro. 13" with Superlites sounds about right.....:drive:

:lmao: That is a lot of pennies! I'm not saying that more expensive wheels aren't worth their cost, just not for this particular car :). I don't even want to think how many pennies the wheels for my '68 are going to cost. LOL.

Thanks! and I have a feeling you are right. I forsee myself cracking in the future for some better brakes. :3gears: (I need the opposite of this smiley, a guy downshifting while doing a brake stand and laying down some rubber. heh).
