Just wanting to get some ideas and potentially pictures if available how different people have hidden their ECU's in LS swaps in '69 camaros. I am thinking about installing my computer under a custom console I will build, drill some holes in the tunnel and run the wires between tunnel and T-56 magnum tranny. Thoughts or advice? Thanks!!!!

I didn't hide mine, but I mounted the ecm on driver side of the radiator support and built a small bracket to hold the tcm and custom built fuse panel. The pics aren;t that great, but this was just the initial mock up. I should have it completely installed in the next week or so.

I drilled a 2" hole rt under trans tunnel to route 3 connectors thru/under firewall. Mounting it up under dash. You will have to take topcap off connector to squeeze it thru. Using 2 piece grommet from summitt. Fuse box will be routed under fender to pass. Side & mounted on front inner fender hump- stock harness just long enough to keep it somewhat hidden!

anyone else have anymore pic? I don't want to mount it in the drivers side fender area like above because that is where my air filter will go. I guess i could always mount the ecu on the passanger side but the ac hoses might get in the way

Which wiring harness are you using ? I used a PSI, and my ECU is mounted under the dash above the glove box, lots of room there

I put them above or beside the glove box liner. Plenty of room and easy to get to if needed.

Mine in a '68 Firebird prior to passenger fender install. Used an S-10 flat PCM mount with some mods. I have removed the plugs several times without issues. I have NOT tried removing the entire PCM yet. There IS a chance I might get it out, but PCM removal might require fender removal.

I'm using the gpmm controller kit. I guess what i need to do is route the wires thru the grommet and then see what extra length i have to mount the ecu and where. I don't have my ac kit installed yet to know what might interfer. Another thing i noticed with the controller kit is that the odb connector, mil wire, and ignition wire are up in front of the harness and if i want to keep the fuse box inside the car I'm going to have to reroute those by taking the harness apart some

I mounted mine where the stock battery location is. I had a box made and mounted it on the underside and the fuse box on top.
Check out post #24 of my build thread, it will make more sense. If you have any questions let me know. Hopefully I can help you out.

I put 'em on the back side of the passenger side inner fender. Nice and clean installation, but maintenance is a headache if you need to add a wire or debug a circuit.

I like to install the PCM above the glove box, under the dash, mounted to the cowl. In Jeremy Fletcher's build we mounted the PCM on a bracket off the glove box flange. (I cant find a pic) I hope this helps.
