I see lots of 255/45/17's on first gen Camaros but no 255/50/17's. I like the wheel lip to be over the top of the tire. It currently has a 1" block on new stock style multi-leaf springs. If anybody is running this size and wants to post a picture I'm curious how it would look?

I wouldn't think it would be too tall. I run 255/50r17's on my 95 Caprice at 27.1" diameter and 275/60r15 on my 68 Camaro at 28" diameter.

I run them on my 67....i am about to which to a 255/45....it is about a 1/2" shorter....i have 1" blocks on it with quarter lips rolled and its fine with no rub...i put 2" blocks and it.will rub with a passenger and when i go on a transition so i which back to 1". Mainly on passenger side because rearend sets over that way a little further...255/50r17s are getting hard to find also

245/45/17 front, 255/50/17 rear. In the second shot, the car is sitting a bit higher than what it is now, but I don't have a more recent shot right now.

I just wish there was more tire selection in the 255/50/17 - BFG KDWS and Nitto 555 seem to be the best choices, I've run both, I prefer the nitto.

I run 27" nitto nt-05R 285/40/18..I think the height is perfect. GW CAT5 springs and 1" blocks

It will not look the same as the firebird in photos because he is running 18s

I agree its not going to look the same as a 18" wheel and tire but, I like the way it fills the wheelwell. I'm waiting on the wheels to show up and I'm going to see how much clearance I really have. I know you said your rearend is towards the passenger side, mine is just the opposite? It seems like it's about 1/4" to the drivers side.

What size tires are on the 78 T/A? I have a 77 that I am trying to figure out tire/wheel size. Pics of that car would be great. Thanks,Todd
