i've got the 175. If you know how to weld, its a great deal. I think you'll tend to struggle if you're just starting out.
i use it for my heavier fab. I use a miller 140 autoset for thinner metal as the eastwood tends to blow through anything 16g and thinner pretty easily.

I do know how to weld. I was looking at the 135

I have the 135. I think it welds fairly good, even been able to do some thin materials...carefully. But the costruction is kinda cheep, lot of plastic, which tends to break easy (the side door hinge has broken on mine). Also, the drive motor is weak, so you have to play with setting the wire spool tension a bunch to get it running smooth. I think for basic hobby use it is ok, I still use it often.

I went ahead and got a 140 lincoln
