Obviously I'm a fan of the work that Best of Show puts out and with good reason - they have a ton of experience with first gens and are a great bunch of guys to work with.

I'm going to look back at that pictures one day and think "I remember when"...

You know, you should give some thought to building a Dusenberg replica for One Lap. It has a bar in the back seat. A BAR. It would make those long drives way more fun, for the passenger that it.

On a serious note, the guys at BOS are top notch. They all have their own area of expertise and are always willing to share and explain any part of the car building process to the rest of us.

Yes, what was I thinking. I'm sure they could. That is an outside of the box kind of job though, and you better budget some money towards design and planning. Luckily for you, the idea process falls outside the range of the $70/hr shop rate, and instead falls into the 2 Budlight/hr rate.

I spoke to Mr. K about it today. In the interest of keeping the weight down we decided that a dry bar vs a wet would probably be best - we'll just have to skip the mix and buy ice when we get gas. Teak is, unfortunately, out as well but carbon fiber (despite my crummy history with the stuff) might be the hot ticket. The knife comes out tomorrow...

The guy that made the bar told me he also specializes in carbon fiber work. If it his carbon fiber stuff looks half as nice as the bar...

... I think you might have something pretty cool going on.

Oh and I'm sure Vintage Air would be willing to build you a compressor for this little project. This should help keep weight down even more.

Hey, I know that place.. in fact I even own a lift and a few tools in that joint! lol

Great shop if you want a NO BS deal where they tell you what it's really going to cost and not some lowball amount to get you in.

And the BBQs on Friday are a nice bonus!
