Since they still don't produce any LED tail lights for the 2010 and up Ford Fusion, I simply decided to buy the LED bulbs.
I went with Pucto LED replacement bulbs which I found at Summit Racing. I chose red color for light/brake/turn and white color for the back up light.

Here we go:

They are made in Taiwan and they cost ~$46.00 for light/brake/turn and ~$24.00 for back up in my case.

Well, the biggest change which you recognize first is the back up light. I honestly was hoping for a more or different LED light/brake/turn effect...

What is your experience?

Are the taillights on in the first pic with the stock bulbs? If so, then there's a massive difference with the LED taillights.

Yes, the first 2 pictures with stock bulbs. The other two with LED "bulbs."

And yes, they are a lil bit brighter...

Here's the direct comparison, between stock & LED. The Reverse LED's are much whiter/brighter; the brake lights don't seem as bright in the pic, but looks more centrally focused in the taillight lens, probably more visible/noticeable to following vehicles, which is a good thing.

Kinda hard to tell if they are brighter as your exposure is different for each photo...

What the photgrapher said ^
However, I've used these bulbs in a few occasions the last being a 1963 MGB where the dash is notorious for being under illuminated. Fixed it up pretty good and the bulbs were pretty cheap. I also used them on my 1950 Chevy p/u tailights that are also notorious for getting you rear ended. They are hella bright. I want them for my 67 Camaro, but thus far have yet to find anything that looks good. The ones I see are too goofy looking.

I think reverse lights are useless these days for rear visibility and LED's make it worse.
They are more or less just marker lights for other drivers to see you're backing up these days.
SO in essence, you're just paying for a Kelvin color change.

LED Tail lights however, are obviously a HELL OF ALOT more useful.

Most multi-led plug in bulbs have tons of weak side-firing leads instead of directing them out the end. Pretty useless. You can get really, really bright leds like what they use in bike lights but they are significantly more expensive (well, not more than summit's prices it seems) unless you feel like buying bare leds and making your own. Those bulbs summit sold for $64 are worth about $4 elsewhere, but that's the nature of retail I guess. The white ones do look a lot better than stock for sure though.
