Basic question. I'm 6'5" 230 lbs. Would I fit in it?

Depends your definition of "fit". My mother in law "fits" in a bathing suit but looks like a tube of biscuits out in the Arizona summer for an hour. I think you'd be uncomfortable bro.

I would just call FF and ask them that. I know there are dedicated GTM online forums as well. Not trying to say someone on this site cannot help, just more likely to find someone of your dimensions on that board that already has the car

I'm building one one now. I'll stick the drivers seat in if I can find a tall person to try it.

I asked the owner of the GTM I'm working on today and he said there's one owner that's something like 6'3" that made custom seats. Check the Factory Five forums for info he posted about the seats.

Any feedback on the kit? Ow about a link to your build thread? Thanks

It's coming right along. As a kit car everything has to be massaged, or modified in some way. This is one of the first gen units and was never finished by the first owner. We're using an Isis system for electrical and the current owner is very comfortable with electrical work so he's taking care of all of the electrical systems while I concentrate on other parts of the build he'd rather have someone else do. We installed an LS2 mated to a G 50 which required frame notching for AC compressor and thermostat housing. Engine fitment is very tight and requires care and patience to shoehorn it in. I've been taking pics along the way but there's no build thread anywhere. I'm doing this and a 69 Camaro vert PT build right now spending a few says a week on each.

I finished up the GTM diffuser setup yesterday. As a kit it comes with a carbon fiber diffuser piece molded to somewhat resemble the place it needs to fit and from there you're on your own (which is the case for most of the pieces). I believe the flow straighteners were included in the kit but the vents are from another company. No mounting holes are drilled and no suspension or vent cutouts are done. I'd guess there's about 75 bolts in the diffuser and no way to just measure for drilling because nothing is symmetrical and the body has to be shifted on the chassis. So you can't just measure for center liines etc. The pic below was taken during mock up before the X frame under the trans gets drilled for mounting holes. Painting the inside of the diffuser black will be done after final fitting and cutting/smoothing the outside edge to mimic the body contours. I've gotta take the flow straighteners off and strip some crappy paint someone put on them off before new paint or powdercoat is applied. No decision yet on whether the grills will be aluminum or black.

I love those cars and for years thought about building one. maybe one day I'll trade something or buy a completed one, as i'm not sure I'd have the patience to build one myself anymore

No, you will not fit without custom modifications to the seat. I'm 6'4" and sat in the first GTM they finished when it was in their show room in Mass many years back and my hair was touching the roof. There was no way I would be comfortable in it with a helmet for a track day.
