      opinions on steering wheel

I'm going to get a new steering wheel and was thinking about Lecarra (Mk9GT shown for example). I am wavering on color though. They have it in standard black and in tan which I thought might look cool with the parchment interior I have. What's your $.02?

I like the wheel design, not tacky, clean and looks 'correct' in a lot of classic cars. I would stay with black since your hands will be on it all the time it will get dirty and the leather finish will crack after a while and look out of place, check out all of the factory wheels that look like that, my F150 is a good example, the seats clean up good but the wheel cover looks worn. my .02. It fits well with the console and dash, too.

Yeah, I was concerned about the dirt/wear too. Honestly the only reason I'm going to change from my current is because I don't like the half wrap billet. It feels like I'm holding onto a pencil, way too thin. Lecarra actually has almost the exact same style Ihave now from Budnik. It's the 3 spoke with holes, not the 4 as I showed above.

I have noticed that some of the single plane steering wheels flex alot. And i suggest the dark wrap.

Thanks, I'm going to go with black leather. And a different wheel than the one I pictured. They actually have one that is almost exactly like the one I have now just with the thicker full leather grip I want. I'll post mine for sale shortly if anyone wants it.

BTW - those are an early version of the Arizen seats. I like them overall I guess, they are comfortable. But, the driver's seat already needs to be replaced because the center panel has sagged way down, I've worn through the side bolster from getting in and out, and the foam on the left side bottom has completely shifted out of the way and I now bruise my ass on the metal every time I get in. For the money, I guess you just replace them every 3-4 years and you're good. I think he has changed his design a little too since these and some of the sagging issues may not be a problem anymore.

Looks like you had them covered in the same as your rear seats.

That wheel in black would look great!
