TTIIs masked to look like Pontiac Rally IIs?

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas on how to take a set of TTIIs or the grey centered CL205s and make them look like the Pontiac Rally IIs?

If you used the CL205s could you simply use the correct paint and stencil kit???... but I'm not sure how well the stencils would stick to the rough centers and would be afraid the the paint would bleed through.

Could you mask polished TTIIs and bead/sand blast the centers for the two-tone effect? Any other ideas??

I got the idea after watching Horsepower TV yesterday and seeing where they blacked out the centers of a set of Cragar SSs for their Vette project. I think they just painted them not powered coat...

This could be a very affordable way to put "unique" 18" wheels on my Formula!

      Let me know your thoughts...

the CL205s aren't actually a "rough" cast center, the grey is a metallic grey paint. the castings aren't completely smooth though they do have a little texture to them. not really sure if this helps any at all but I thought I'd share

Somebody has billet Ralley II wheels. I remember seeing them somewhere. It was either in a magazine or SEMA on TV.

      Thanks Tony!

I think that looks great Tony!!!! And unique!

Billets would be great but when you can get a set of TTIIs or CL205s for
half the price... a little ingenuity can go a long way to saving $$$.

I like the idea. Just have to figure out "how" to do it now!

      Chrome PMD center

Maybe leave the center cap chrome and just machine it flat enough to attach a PMD or Flaming Chicken center cap emblem...

      Cost Savings

The cost of the 18" Billet Rally IIs is very reasonable at $1822.50 vs the cost of 18" CL205s $1440. I thought they'd be double that!

Even though is only a $380 savings I think the customized CL205s would be much more unique looking... a subtle difference that would make you look twice.
