Anyone know who makes a good 2 piece wheel at a fair price and a realistic turn around time. The false hopes of getting my NewGen wheels have come to a conclusion now that Jon's lies caught up to him and he's admitted to NewGen going under as well. I like Schott wheels, but will not buy them after him and Jon were in business together. Any guidance in the right direction would be a help! The car of my dreams and hard work is sitting on blocks. :(

It's best not to buy a make or break the look of your car item by not getting the right wheels for it. Both the cars below say what I want them to say about car. The 66 with the Forgeline are not on it so much for looks, but just to say car's not stock.

The Schott's on the 64 are part of a more elegant look to go with the body modifications and interior of it. Car was actually built around them. Can't say that about the 66's wheels, they are the 2nd set on it.

I know you said 2 pc wheels, but Forgeline makes some nice light weight wheels at least compared to most of the Schott ones. They quoted me 7 weeks, but delivered in 6.

They are a lot lighter than the Schott wheels on the 64. But have to say the Schott ModSports were the only wheels I liked on it.

Weld Wheels has a new line that is very hard to beat for a lot of reasons including turn around time.

I've had good luck with Forgeline and Intro wheels. I'm sure most of the brands mentioned above will have at least one or two styles that fit your taste, car, and budget.

Just out of curiosity, where did you hear that Jon admitted to NewGen going under also? I've been following the mess on here, but hadn't heard that. Only curious as I have NewGen wheels that I bought when they first started to come out.

What's your budget? CCW has great turn times for a lower priced 3 piece wheel.

Hey Mike,
Just when all the drama about Driverz broke, Jon assured me my NewGen wheels were good to go and would be delivered by the April 13th date. I heard that Dave over at Schott wheels was actually cutting the wheels for Jon/NewGen, so followed up with him. Neither Jon or Dave could give me a straight answer to the status of my wheels and they could never come up with a picture. Jon sent me an email 3 days ago (after not returning calls or texts) stating that they made a mistake and my wheels were never processed. He also said he would refund me my money (Im not counting on that and filed a claim with the bank) and he also said in the email he "looking into what it will take to wind down NewGen and be done with it" Seriously makes me sick, I was depending on someone to follow through on their word from the money I had given him. Dave/Schott in my eyes is just as guilty as he knew what was going on.

I ended up ordering Black Widows directly from Rushforth today. Im very hesitant to deal with vendors anymore....especially if they do the whole "drop ship" thing. First it was Driverz, then 5 weeks to get delivery on a Vintage Air Gen IV system from a well known vendor here.

Not so say the Jon didn't screw some people with Driverz, but be careful what you say about people/vendors(Dave/Schott) without having a direct dealling with them. I have Rushforth's and I am very happy with my product and customer service, but you must know that people like Jon and Jason pay people to make the wheels from their designs. Just like we're customers to them, they are customers to the manufacturer. I would have to believe anybody that was screwed would have been by the vendor taking the cash and not passing the order and cash on to the manufacturer. I think most of the responses have been with these companies saying "we never got and order from Driverz" or "they were ordered, but never paid". Both scenerios means Driverz kept the customers money. Just my .02....

I did have direct dealing with Dave/Schott. He admitted he knew Jon's issues with Driverz and admitted he cut NewGens wheels. I told Dave about my order, so once he knew Jon had my money and he didn't have my order, he knew Jon was committing a crime. Although I don't have legal authority in CA, Dave knows enough to be called to the stand as a witness (both in criminal and civil courts) Once it's determined he knew jon was taking money without intentions of filling orders (like when he took $ for Rushforth wheels even though Rushforth cut him off as a vendor sept/2011), Dave then becomes an accomplice.
