OK so I know that i have a pretty annoying draw and i have narrowed it down to 2 things. Number one the fasten seatbelt stays on in the car but it stays on so faint that you can only see it in the pitch dark. The car "usually" runs good all day once i get it started with a battery tender or jumper cables. The other possibility is the wiring for the engine temp guage, which doesnt not work.
Well heres where the usually ends and even more annoying part starts. Today i finished redoing my drums on the rear and wanted to take it for a test ride, so i put the usual battery tender on (because of this dam draw) and let it sit for an hour. The car wont start. I back the car out of my small hill driveway and hook up the jumper cables to a chevy silverador for 30 mins and the car still wont start. When i was trying to start it i did notice some smoke coming from a bundle of 3 or more wires wrapped in electical tap and stop when i stopped trying, Does the smoke mean this is where the short is? Also tonight my pride and joy had to spend the night outside because i couldnt push her up the hill drivway (I hate that!). Any ideas how to straighten this out? Or even how to get her back in the garage. Thanks so much. Electrical problems drive me nutz.
OHH also when the cables are hooked up, I hear a sort of waterish swishing electrical sound coming from the battery, whats that mean for the problem?:confused:
