I tried to research this question but couldn't find the answer here. My apologies if this has been answered. My LS6 came with the DBW TB. I would rather run a cable. I notice there are a ton of vendors selling throttle bodies on ebay. Any suggested vendors for a mildly ported TB? Or should I just stay with a stocker? Stock TB for LS1 was 76mm, right? Was the LS6 the same? Sorry for the newbie question but I'm just not sure which one to buy. I will be running a LS6 intake if it matters.
Thanks for your help

Ok, simply put. Does anyone know if LS1 throttle bodies are the same diameter as LS6 throttle bodies? Anyone? B

I would think they are the same. On ls1tech people seem to get throttle bodies ported. I don't think it would be worth it. I mean you make it flow a lil better I just really doubt you are going to gain hardly anything. I have no experience with porting or ported throttle bodies just seems like a waste to me.

They are indeed the same. There were some subtle differences within the LS1 throttle bodies with respect to the way that the cable hooked up. I had a LS6 and used a cable throttle body. No issues.

I bought a ported TB from potz speed ( on eBay). His adds seem a little unprofessional because all he does is show a girl with big personalities and his throttle bodies.
His product, however is top notch, and he is very customer focused.
As far as fitment goes, it bolts right up. I converted my LS6 dbw to ls1 cable, but because of the different sensors I think some harness work and ecm programming are required.
