Beginners course on Tire/Wheel Fitment without sticking out

have a question regarding wheels. I will end up lowering the car, when it comes to wheels-I know the exact rims i want (AMERICAN RACING DAYTONA) but what do i need to do to make sure the rims are measured correctly to fit? Im just afraid Im gonna buy the rims and the suspension kit THEN the tires/rims will stick out then i wouldnt know what to do! Would I have to change my rear axle and shorten it? Would i have to ask the company or someone private to change the offset of the rims to fit inside the car without sticking out? Is this expensive? Help me

You may want to include they year and model of your car as well as the diameter of wheel you were looking at.

For what it's worth, my front tires 245/40/18 would rub on the subframe if I didn't have the SpeedTech LCA's with the steering stop bolts. And the rear 275/40/18 is very close to rubbing as well, the rear end needs to be dead center. I'll check on my back spacing, but you may want to go down a size front and rear (235's and 265's).

      ***Edit***

Front wheels are 18x8's with 5.0" backspacing, and the rears are 18x9's with 5.25" BS.
