      Preferred FR500 Manufacturers?

Pretty simple question; are there any manufacturers/suppliers for the FR500 style wheels that I should avoid. I'm building on paper first a 67 mustang and have decided on the FR500s' for it. I'll be needing to get the rears widened so am trying to find out the better brands to look into. 18x10 seem to be the widest and I'll be putting 12's on the back. Yes the car is tubbed as well as I'm considering pushing the rear fenders out a couple of inches to try and maintain a balanced look front to rear. I'm figuring on having to push the front fenders out to support a 10" wide front wheel hence pushing the rear fenders out also. Car is Alston backhalved so rear fender bulges would be primarily aesthetic.

So speak up; which FR500 manufacturers have you had trouble with? Which ones have been troublefree?

      Thanks.

manufacturer may be the wrong word, they are all done at the same place in China as far as I know.

I think what you are asking about is better called importer/distributor. The metallurgy as to welding should be the same through all of them

I had a set of FR500 knock offs on my daily driver. If I had to do it all over again I would just buy them straight from Ford Racing. Of course if you're looking for "deep dish" wheels I think the aftermarket is your only choice and like 'iadr' said, they're probably all made in the same factory. The set I bought came from Americanmuscle.com and I was happy with their service!
