Seeking Mesh rim recommendations on a budget.

Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated.
      sub $500 range each preferrably.

I'm looking for some 18" Mesh rims with powdercoated centers for my 1978 Camaro.
I'm not looking for the ultimate 3 piece American made bleed your wallet for $1000 per rim stuff. LOL
      .
I'm trying to find some budget one piece rim options for street usage.
Rims that are powdercoated, machined lip, and have proper lug pattern 5x4.75 and depth for the rear (backspacing)

I got my Foose Legends from Driverz Inc for just $260 a rim for my 442 and I love them.
Lots of import rim options and ZR1 options but none seem to be recessed.
I'm shooting for the Crusher Camaro's look , but I know those are Boze and $$$.

Those Forgestar mesh are a different style, that's all I can find on their brand.

Not many options outside of CCW I guess......
I'm contemplating just baking my Centerline galaxy's for a day and then powdercoating them instead.

Harlan, $1000 per New Gen rim isn't a "budget" option.
      Nice, yes. Budget, no.

I'm not the type to dump $4,000 on rims. I'll spend $2000 or thereabouts.

NewGen has several options in the $500 each range Stacey. Call DriverzInc for their new phone number, but they probably aren't as busy not that they're out on their own.

On my car 11.5 or 12 inch wide CCW's all around are a goal. Might buy them and do some fender flares later this year.

I would email New Gen or A Rushforth dealer, I have gotten quotes much more reasonable than 1k per wheel as long as you don't go wider than ten inches.

there was a guy that made a couple of sets of 18" GTA replicas for his GN. he tried to sell one set, but i don't know if anyone ever bought them. he was asking right around $2k for the set. i think he's a member here.

Try that link, I know the backspacing isn't perfect but with hub rings and spacers may work? I am looking for cheap options to run 18x9 or 18x9.5 on the front and rear of my 68

XXR makes a mesh wheel, and they're cheap if the fit is right

Maybe a Beyern BMW wheel, if you're ok with the 5x120 vs 5x120.65 thing? The "Mesh" is pretty close. Comes in an 18x8.5 and 18x9.5, with a minimum of ET15 offset (5.4 and 5.8 backspacing respectively). I'm running a different pattern of Bayern rims on a G-body with the same offset and am happy with the fit and finish. Pretty light for a 1 piece too.

Edit: About $250/ wheel btw. and here is a pic http://www.beyernwheels.com/BMW_whee...n_typemesh.php

NewGen rims are kinda similar but not similar.....
The XXR's are not bad, and VERY inexpensive.

This style is what I'm seeking.

Those do look pretty smooth. Look just like the ZR1's rims but without the Beyern logo.
That can be covered up I'm sure or painted over. No big concern there.

I'm not sure about the differences between the 5x120 and 5x120.65 thing to be honest.
Trying to understand if that's going to be an issue or not.

You are preferably going to want the 5x120.65, since that is equal to a 5x4.75" bolt pattern, and that is what your car has. I have seen guys use wheels with 5x120, but ideally you would want the correct bolt pattern. That is the correct way to do it.

The logo is only on the center cap, which is removable so very easy to modify. I was originally planning on just putting a black sticker over mine, but just left the logos.

As to the 120 vs 120.65, Driverzinc is right the best way to do it is have 120.65. It's up to you if you are comforatable with your safety knowing that the wheel studs are .025" further apart at the axle flange than at the wheel. I made an educated decision on my vehical and determined that it was acceptable, but I wouldn't just blanket recommend the practice to everyone.

      I'm aware that the 5x4.75 = 5x120.65

But like you just said, people are using 5x120mm rims, I'm just not sure what the difference really is that matters if people are doing it.
I guess I'm just not understanding what that .65mm difference is, and if it's that crucial.

I guess I need to really look into this more because I'm not quite envisioning the difference in my head.
If I could see what it is, I'd have a better way to gauge it.

I'm reading there are adaptors that are inexpensive to make this work with no issues too.
