who can machine the center of a wheel for me?

Seeing the other thread about a members issues with wheel pad thicknesses, got me thinking about an issue I have.

Basically the quick story is that I have a set of Team –III LT wheels in 18”, front being 18 x 10, rears 18 x 12. Due to the rear wheel being two hoops welded together, the mounting pad on the rear is considerable (over an inch) thicker than the ones on the front (basically due to the wheel center having to be mounted to cover the hoop weld).
Now there’s nothing functionally wrong with the wheel, but it gives me a visual issue in that the “hole” for the rear lug nuts swallows my 3” long “trans-am” wheel nuts…so I have the nice vintage look on the front ….but on the rear you barely see the top of them.
So as I can’t machine the back (would mess up the offset)..I thought…why not machine the front down?
The pad is flat and if it was machined to give more of a cut/dish it actually suites the look of the early race minilites.

      Thoughts??
Any suggestions who could do this????

I don't know off of the top of my head. There is a company that widens factory wheels. Maybe they could help you out.

Oh, by the way, GLORY, GLORY MAN UNITED!!! WE'VE GOT NINETEEN! Seriously though, with all of the drama surrounding the match tomorrow, I just hope everyone gets out in one piece. I'll see if I can find the name of the company for you.

Wednesday it was City, tomorrow it will be United....nothing better than taking the Mancs out of both cups in the same week!!

And I never thought of calling Weldkraft...i have used them (jason) before...I'll give him a call.

Is the center cast? I would be leery of milling out a bunch of material from the lug area if it's cast.
