The 2 pistons calipers that come with their 13" kits, are the same as C5 and will bolt to C5 bracketry? I can get 2 new calipers and abutments for $300 shipped. Need to find out quick! Thanks

Im not sure what your asking.

Baer brakes most common kit was a C4 2 piston caliper made by PBR. They did have a caliper that was a C5 based 2 piston PBR unit they called it the GT Plus if I remember correctly but Im pretty sure they did not sell the GT Plus (c5) as a kit for anything 1975 and below.

The calipers in question look exactly like the ones in the top picture. They came from a 13" brake kit.

I would like to use them in a C5 upgrade using the fabricated bracket and my stock spindle.

The C4 rotors and C5 rotors are different thickness (1.1 vs 1.25). Speedtech sells a bracket using the C5 caliper and a C4 rotor but I don't think you can use a C4 caliper with a C5 rotor. Both rotors have a different hat thickness (distance between the rotor and where the wheel contacts the rotor). The C5 hat is shorter, putting the caliper out further towards the wheel than the C4 style one. What wheels are you using? The choices are more limited with the C5 style than the C4 one.

C4 used the 13" rotor right? Are the abutement bolt spacing the same?

No, they're not. C4 PAB hole spacing is 130mm IIRC versus 128mm for the C5/C6. Offsets are different, as are rotor thicknesses as mentioned above. We sell new PBR/C5 friction ready calipers for $299, so $300 doesn't sound like a very good deal for relatively old technology, pad-guided C4 calipers, even if they are new.

$299 for both calipers and abutements? Thats what these have. Thanks for the info, I may pass on them. Do you have website?
